Has 'The Walking Dead' killed off Daryl? Twitterverse readies to riot

The season finale for the sixth season of The Walking Dead is set to air next Sunday, April 7, and tonight's penultimate episode will set the stage for the introduction of Negan.

Fans of the show have a saying, "if Daryl dies, we riot", so no doubt they were kind of relieved when Dwight - the guy who shot him - said he'll be alright. Glenn and Michonne tried to stop Daryl, but ended up being captured themselves and used as bait to draw out Daryl and Rosita.

But things did not end there.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Reedus says it's unclear where Daryl got shot, but "that definitely is his blood right there". "But you see [Dwight] pull the trigger, and that's Daryl's blood", Reedus confirmed in an interview with TVLine.

"Exactly what you see happens, happens". Was he talking to Daryl?

"We didn't end it", Rick says. When Dwight uses the crossbow to kill Denise (Merritt Wever), it only strengthens Daryl's resolve to destroy him, even if it means taking the risk of doing it on his own. Putting in characters like Daryl, who isn't even in the comic. Speaking about how safe his character was in the series, he said: "I think every single one of us on the show knows that we can go at any time". "And I don't want anything getting in my way". Click to WATCH the scene and decide for yourself! I was shocked that that would happen to Daryl. He's really second guessing himself. Rick grins. Is it me, or is Rick becoming dangerously cocky?

"He doesn't have an intention on killing him", Amelio told Tech Insider post-episode. "He's forcing him into that eyeball to eyeball right now". Let's face it, the final scene is all the internet can talk about.

Abraham: "You afraid to go back to it with somebody close?" And Daryl starts to consider it and is like "I can't, man. I can't".

I can't tell you that. It is with a heavy heart, that I give you some preview as to what will happen next Sunday night.

I have a feeling this might be the last we see of Morgan this season, but I hope I'm wrong.

Enid: "I like it. But why?" It's like they're prepping tacos for a dinner party of 10 and have no idea that everyone is going to show up with a plus one - along with baseball bats covered in barbed wire.

"Yeah, but can you trust him?"

Then again, the show might just surprise us and go for someone entirely random. "I think he's unlike anything anybody's experienced in "The Walking Dead" thus far".

"It's the most hardcore finale we've ever had". However, at the same exact time we clearly do not want that to be so because we care about these people. She wasn't happy about having to kill more people, but she did what she had to do.
