Lollapalooza Announces Full 2016 Lineup

Three-day passes sold out prior to the lineup announcement. There are no real surprises surrounding the headliners.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have been hinting at a new album for a while now, slowly preparing the follow-up to 2011's I'm with You and potentially even collaborating with Danger Mouse. "We've got lots of songs, and we're working with an unnamed producer who is really challenging us to find new ways to come up with new music", Smith added in a Rolling Stone interview a year ago.

The lineup also includes Major Lazer, Ellie Goulding, The 1975, Bastille, Chris Stapleton, Mac Miller, G-Eazy, Miike Snow, Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram), Leon Bridges, Two Door Cinema Club, Portugal. the Man, The Joy Formidable Mutemath, Houndmouth, Big Gigantic, Skepta, Third Eye Blind, Years & Years, and Jack Garratt. And we're extremely pleased to see The Struts made the bill; perhaps this will be their chance to break their excellent Queen-inspired glam-rock bombast in the mainland mainstream. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too.

Four-day passes quickly sold out Tuesday, but one-day tickets will be released at 10 a.m. Wednesday on the festival's website.

And now, without further ado, the full line-up for the 2016 Chicago edition of Lollapalooza.

Lollapalooza will take place from July 28 - 31 in Grant Park.
