Prescott surprisingly has the Cowboys (6-1) atop the NFC and in possession of a two-games lead in the NFC East.

Prescott won the rookie quarterback duel with Carson Wentz, rallying the Cowboys with a late tying pass to Dez Bryant. The game ended with a handsome play from the rookie quarterback, who spun out of the collapsing pocket to find a wide-open Jason Witten for the score. Sixty minutes wasn't enough to decide it. "I get that certain plays could have helped, but there are still four quarters of football games to be played, and we got to win".

NOT SO SPECIAL: The Cowboys had a rough first quarter on special teams.

The Dallas Cowboys had no business winning this game. Dallas only picked up five yards on the ensuing series, but it was enough for a field goal to cut the deficit to seven points. He was trying to become just the seventh back in National Football League history with five straight games with at least 130 yards on the ground.

After Dan Bailey put Dallas up 10-3 with a 38-yard field goal, Philadelphia tied the game with a 45-yard drive capped by Ryan Mathews' 1-yard run. Worse yet for the Birds, they are now 0-2 in the division. But overall, I thought we came away in the passing game pretty well in this game.

Cowboy's defense analysis- The defense didn't look excellent, but they did their job well.

Dallas looked dead and buried, trailing by a touchdown entering the final quarter and their rookie backfield tandem of running back Ezekiel Elliot and Prescott looking like, well, rookies.

Bryant had four catches for 113 yards, including a 53-yarder to set up the first Dallas touchdown, in the 2014 All-Pro's return after missing three games with a hairline fracture in his right knee.

Prescott didn't let his early struggles get to him with the game on the line. We've got a lot of young guys, and it's tough.

The clash of the NFC East titans took place on the national stage when the Dallas Cowboys took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. But it was Prescott's resilience on the Cowboys' overtime drive that was impressive and most significant, going 5-of-5 for 46 yards and a touchdown. The last time Pederson called a player "week-to-week" was Bennie Logan, who has missed the last two games. The Dallas defense swallowed it up for a six-yard loss. Instead, they had to settle for a Caleb Sturgis field goal.

"From my standpoint would have liked to try that", he said. They need to address certain defensive needs like stopping the run and certain offensive needs like the lack of an elite wide receiver. "But yeah, I think you can definitely win [that way]".

Actually, none of it was on Sturgis. I'm really not sure if I got any of the predictions right except for the Cowboys getting the win - which is really all that matters, I guess.

The Giants and the Eagles are both at 4-3, but Eli Manning and co. have a better division record, so they hold the tiebreaker.

The Cowboys won even when Prescott walked into AT&T Stadium with his B-minus game, which means the Cowboys are for real as a Super Bowl contender, ESPN reported.
