LONDON, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 06: Harry Kane scores a goal for Tottenham past Petr Cech of Arsenal during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium on November 6, 2016 in London, England.
Kane's strike cancelled out Kevin Wimmer's own goal, which had given the Gunners a half-time lead, and triggered a frantic second period in which both sides had their chances.
But Harry Kane levelled from the penalty spot after the break to earn a share of the spoils, and Spurs remain unbeaten in their 11 top-flight fixtures so far this term.
And their failure to beat Spurs means Wenger has now gone five Premier League games without a victory over Arsenal's north London rivals. We worked so hard a year ago to be in the Champions League and our performances haven't been good enough.
The formation, which the Spurs manager used once last season in a 2-1 win at Watford, helped to unsettle Arsenal in the opening exchanges and provided the visitors with a platform to build from the back - a feature of Spurs' game that Pochettino said he wanted to improve on before the match. But for me to finish this month, I'm very happy. "It's hard. It's like watching my family - I just want to be out there helping them. The most important thing when the team shows that performance and the players know what they need to do in difference phases of the game, that always pleases us a lot". It has been a hard spell for us but we came out against Arsenal and played very well. But the referee makes the decisions and we have to cope with that.
"I felt it was a bit down to nervousness at the back too".
But Arsenal haven't beaten Spurs in the league since a 1-0 win in March 2014 courtesy of an early Tomas Rosicky goal.
"People started talking about Tottenham being in crisis during the week - we haven't lost yet in the Premier League", said Dier. I had a header in the first half which went just wide, an effort at the back post which I didn't get the best contact on and I obviously scored a penalty.
After coming back from a goal down, Mauricio Pochettino says a draw against Arsenal is a fair result.
