BJP national executive gets under way

Addressing the valedictory session of the two day National Executive meeting of BJP in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said, the poor and downtrodden have accepted positively that such an important decision will prove to be an effective tool to eliminate the social ills and corruption.

Hailing the government's action of conducting surgical strikes across the Line of Control, Javdekar said, "Shah defined the surgical strikes as a historic and bold move under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi".

The national executive meeting of the BJP sought to send out a loud message that the Opposition had been disruptive and adopting confrontationist strategies against the pro-poor and anti-graft decisions of the government. "What is clear from surveys carried out after November 8 is that over 75 percent of people support it", he said.

Shah also expressed confidence about BJP winning all five election-going States on the basis of party's increased organizational strength.

The PM also strongly batted for transparency in political funding and called for consensus on the issue among political parties. The regional party is contesting in polls in Goa and Punjab.

"Hitting out at the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party for their "Khoon ki dalali" and "give us proof" comments respectively, Javadekar said, "'Khoon ki dalali' comment was a mean one and one minister even asked for proof.

He added that poor people want basic amenities in their lives and their happiness when a lamp post is set up outside their homes will far outshine the happiness of those elated over a good feast.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad quoted the PM as having said that "the poor of India have the inner strength to fight their poverty and it is the government's intention to strengthen them" and that they had voluntarily responded to his appeal on demonetisation.

The party workers, along with workers from other states will return to Uttar Pradesh after February 4 and will campaign against the BJP candidates in UP.

PM Modi also applauded the party workers of BJP across the nation, saying that BJP workers are not the one's who walk with the flow, but the one's who has caliber to change the flow. "This step of the Central Government has reaffirmed the belief that patriotism isn't just a political talk but it is the political will to takes strong and decisive steps to favour the last man", it said in an economic resolution.
