Inside Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 Show: Everything You Need To Know

It was a radical departure for the 39-year-old whose shows have been over the top - presenting at locales from Madison Square Garden to New York's Roosevelt Island - since he started his fashion line two years ago. Sat down with him for about 6, 7 hours. And thank you for the serene music before the show.

Halima Aden, 19, is making waves and history in the fashion industry.

Wife Kim Kardashian West, dressed in burgundy satin, made a decision to wait no more and headed backstage.

Halima Aden - a Somali-American who was born in a Kenyan refugee camp - scored ink from Glamour, Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar after hitting the runway in a fur coat and hijab. She first made headlines past year for being the first woman to compete in a Miss Minnesota beauty pageant in a hijab.

The looks in West's Yeezy Season Five collection featured nods to the Chicago, Illinois native's current home in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, with cities in the region such as "Lost Hills" and "Calabasas" emblazoned on some of the baggy sweaters, track trousers, baseball caps and other items in the line.

Fowler wore high-waisted PVC jeans, a textured sweater and a shiny, over-sized anorak with white, pointed boots. Additionally, New York Cool Teen™ extraordinaire Luka Sabbat wore a sweatshirt, camo trousers, and the new Yeezy running sneakers.

Kanye's a bit of a Marmite character - you either love him or hate him - but he's definitely getting a huge thumbs up for his latest fashion show. Well, they were all so uncharacteristically normal, for West anyway. He has used garments before to invite guests. The feature was shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti.

Even the celebrity guest list was pared down.

Famous attendees included Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Teyana Taylor, and A$AP Ferg, as well as Ye's creative team.

Not every show can be Madison Square Garden huge.
