This newly released video peers behind the scenes at Orisa's creation, from her early days as a Zarya/Bastion lovechild to later revelations about the type of character she is within the Overwatch fiction and how her abilities fit in alongside the game's current lineup of tanks.
Orisa is the third hero Blizzard has added to Overwatch since its release, following the sniper-healer Ana and the stealth-based hacker Sombra.
As it turns out, much of Orisa's inspiration came from Reinhardt and the role that he plays on a team. It also noted that Orisa would be heading to live servers on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st.
Orisa's main weapon is her rapid-fire Fusion Driver, an automatic gun with good range and accuracy even at a distance-though it comes at a cost, as Orisa's movement slows down while she fires. Meanwhile, Halt allows Orisa to shoot out a graviton ball that can then suck in all nearby enemies for easy pickings. She can also use Fortify which provides 50 percent damage reduction and rejects crowd control effects. She always carries "The Drum" on her back, and when her ult is charged, she can throw it on the ground to provide a 50 percent damage boost to any teammate in the Drum's line of sight. Designed as a peacekeeping robot, Orisa is technically the game's youngest hero.
