Southern California authorities are looking for a woman they say abandoned her toddler in a grocery store.
According to police, video shows 31-year-old Chiengkham Vilaysane walking with her two-year-old daughter behind her.
Surveillance video shows the woman entering the store with her daughter.
Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman.
The grocery store issued a written statement that reads in part: "Food 4 Less will continue to work closely with the police and the community to provide assistance regarding the safety of this child".
While the woman was shopping, a good Samaritan brought the child to her and the mother allegedly responded, "Oh, just leave her", before deserting the toddler after paying for her groceries, police said.
The girl wandered off, and the mother continued to shop.
Railsback said police believe the mother intentionally left the toddler at the store.
As of Monday, no one had reported the girl missing and the mother had not yet been located. She was wearing a dark tank top and denim shorts.
Officers were called to the Food-4-Less located at 4250 Van Buren Boulevard Sunday night to reports of a found child.
"We stopped it right on her mom and we picked her up and we asked, 'Honey, who's that?' And she said, 'Mommy, ' and she got all like sad face and we all just looked at each other and our hearts kind of just broke", Mattsson said.
