The Rs 999 plan offers 60 days validity and 60GB of high-speed 4G data, the Rs 1,999 plan offers 90 days validity and 125GB of high-speed data, the Rs 4,999 plan offers 180 days validity and 350GB of data, whereas the Rs 9,999 plan offers 360 days validity and 750GB of data.

Idea, on the other hand, is offering unlimited free voice calls and 500 MB of data a data for 28 days at Rs 348.

This Jio Prime membership is for a year, from March 31 2017 to March 31, 2018.

⇒ There is no cap on when you can use the 1GB data through the day, however, the unused data will not accrue and be carried forward to the next day. Airtel's new Rs 345 plan now offers 1GB of 4GB data per day along with local and STD voice calls free per month. Through its invitational offers, millions helped Jio expand its subscriber base to a record 100 million within 170 days of the launch.

Reliance Jio services are all set to go commercial from April 1 and the company announced Reliance Jio Prime programme, in order to retain customers. So far Reliance Jio was giving users 1GB data free per day under the Happy New Year offer.

While Airtel and Vodafone have announced their own plans to counter Jio, Idea cellular also announced its own plan for its customers. The Rs 349 plan also offers 14GB of 4G data but with free calls to any network across India. The new plan, which will cost Rs 346 per month offers benefits like unlimited calls and SMS with 28GB data for a month.

Jio also anticipates its EBITDA margin to be more than 50 per cent on its gross revenue. In the meantime, some might subscribe to Jio Prime by paying Rs. 99 and then wait before recharging their Jio number with Rs. 303. You can make unlimited calls to local and national numbers, be it a mobile or a landline number. Also the effect of such free fall in data and call rates are going to be big.

"Assuming this plan (Rs303) appeals to only customers with total across-SIMs wireless spend of Rs200 per month or more, (it) suggests a potential ceteris paribus negative impact of around 16-17 percent on industry revenues in FY2018", says a February 28 report by Kotak Institutional Equities.

Now, you have read about the Jio plans; here are some of the hidden conditions of other telecom operators. Given the amount of data offered is less, its daily FUP is also less. This plan also has a validity of 28 days.

Since its entry in September, Reliance Jio has taken the market by storm through its aggressive offerings.
