Donald Trump might say this was the most highly attended championship team ceremony ever at the White House. but the pictures say otherwise. "Our team has accomplished something very special that we are all proud of and will be for years to come".

Both Kraft and Belichick presented Trump with a Patriots Super Bowl 51 jersey and helmet, stood for some photos, then went inside the White House to continue the celebration. Brady and Amendola weren't the only notable player absent from the festivities Wednesday. Trump, meanwhile, ambled toward his story's conclusion - a mention of the Patriots' latest victory incomplete, of course, without a reminder of his own.
