The company has said the pre-orders for Galaxy S8 have exceeded those of its predecessor - S7, a sign that consumers remain unfazed by what has been described as one of the world's worst product safety failures.
The Galaxy S8 comes in two screen sizes.
Samsung India on Wednesday announced the prices of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus, revealing that the 5.8-inch smartphone will be priced at 57,900 Indian rupees, while its 6.2-inch counterpart will set you back 64,900 INR. According to him, the next phablette would be distinguished by an excellent photo quality, with a double sensor in the back for the first time in the history of Samsung. The Infinity Display design is definitely the best thing about Samsung's new flagship smartphones, but the camera truly is a close second. Now, it is nearly certain that Samsung will not release them in the next few weeks as there are chances of them disappearing into the oblivion with the Galaxy S8 set to be launched on April 21.
Samsung Pay - a payment platform - now works with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI Cards, Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank in India. The displays have also been UHD Alliance certified to ensure reliability.
The device has also been spotted on GFXBench site with a 5.5-inch touchscreen (1,280x720 pixel resolution), an Exynos 7870 processor clocking at 1.5 GHz, an ARM Mali-T830 GPU, and an Android 7.0 Nougat-operating system.
During the scratch test, the razor blade would not make a mark on phone, as both sides are covered by Gorilla Glass 5.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The two smartphones come with iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and facial recognition. The Note 8 could give Samsung the flawless opportunity to catch up to the cameras offered by its rivals. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
