Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Trial Resumes

Cosby Accuser Takes the Stand

Cosby Accuser Takes the Stand

Constand will be back in the witness box again on Wednesday as Cosby's lawyers continue their cross-examination.

"Tell the truth", Constand said.

The defense questioned Constand's credibility pointing to phone records after the incident showing she called Cosby the same morning she contacted lawyers.

Bill Cosby sexually assaulted a female friend after giving her pills that left her "frozen" and unable to escape, a trial has heard today.

At the defense table, Cosby leaned in to listen, whispered to his lawyer and, during some of Constand's testimony, shook his head.

About half an hour later, Constand said, she had trouble talking and difficulty moving and was suffering double vision.

Cosby's defense team attempted to discredit Constand's story.

Johnson's mother, Patrice Sewell, also testified to receiving a call from her "hysterical" daughter, who told her that Cosby had assaulted her and tried to have her fired from William Morris.

"She's (Andrea Constand) seldom emotional". In the deposition, Cosby confessed to obtaining strong sedatives to hand out to females he wanted to have sex with, although he insisted he didn't use them when he is alleged to have assaulted Constand.

Cosby does not plan to testify, meaning the trial's outcome will likely hinge on whether jurors believe Constand's testimony. She is clear and thoughtful with her answers. "I said, 'What are they?"

Constand said she first met Cosby in late 2002 at a women's basketball game at Temple University in Philadelphia, after being introduced by a donor. Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged. She was on the stand for seven hours.

Constand said the calls pertained only to Temple women's basketball and stopped once she left the university. Before being asked about how she came to meet Cosby, the prosecution asked her to point Cosby out in the courtroom.

"The lights were dim and the fire was going", the lawyer continued.

"The victim stated that the date of the alleged incident may have been March 16, 2004", a police reported dated January 19, 2005, said.

She managed the women's basketball team at Temple while he was a high-profile trustee.

At times, Agrusa stumbled over dates and details in her questions, confusing July for January, and "Canadian police" for the department in Cheltenham Township, where Cosby's home is situated, prompting a prosecutor to ask for clarification.

"So in the month and days after the alleged assault, you were calling him with a lot of frequency, weren't you?" Cosby and Frazier were on screen together in the 1978 comedy "California Suite".

Constand said that Cosby became more flirtatious and suggestive during their friendship.

Frazier is best-known for her starring role in the 1972 cult blaxploitation film, "Super Fly".

Pulliam, who played Rudy Huxtable in the iconic series The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992, entered the Montgomery County Courthouse arm in arm with the 78-year-old comedian on Monday.

Bill Cosby has arrived at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse for the third day of his sexual assault trial.

Constand then spoke about her first meeting with the entertainer via mutual friend. She testified that he grabbed her thigh during one instance at his home and attempted to unbutton her trousers in another.

She went on to testify he gave her three blue pills the comedian called herbal supplements and a glass of wine. If convicted, he could face up to a decade in prison.

Cosby, is now 79 and claims he is blind.

"I was really nervous and wasn't able to recall every particular moment that I had seen Mr. Cosby in order of dates", she said, explaining the inconsistencies.

Constand also testified that she returned to Cosby's home after the alleged assault "with the hopes of asking him what the pills were that he gave her".
