- Aspen - Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration: Parade, kids' carnival, live music, picnics and fireworks; aspenchamber.org.

The parade line-up begins at 8:30 a.m.at Spring Hill Post Office, 223 Town Center Parkway, and the parade begins at 9 a.m. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters and wagons in patriotic colors, or simply walk or ride in the parade, to celebrate Independence Day in a fun way, city officials said. Fireworks are set to begin at 9 p.m. The show is set to begin at 9 p.m. July 1 at the Truman Lake Dam, with patriotic music broadcast on 95.3 KDKD. A rain date is set for Sunday, July 2.

Hamilton's annual fireworks show is set for Monday, July 3 at the Kuser Road entrance to Veterans Park. Noon-10 p.m., Iron Horse Park, Fort Carson, free admission; carsonfreedomfest.com.

July 4 falls on a Tuesday this year, and for some, that means a four-day weekend topped off with fireworks ... several days of fireworks.

The New Suffolk 25th Annual Fourth of July Parade will take place on Tuesday, July 4, from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. During the derby, which runs until noon, participants can catch fish and win prizes.

The Historical Society of Princeton is hosting a walking tour of Princeton featuring locations central to Princeton's role in the Revolutionary War. The park gate, located off of Spur 364, will officially open at 2 p.m. and the entrance fee will be $5 per vehicle. The musical is a portrait of life in turn-of-the-century America, following three very different families as they all pursue the American Dream.

County Park in Versailles will be setting off fireworks at 10 pm on July 4, 2017. A park historian will discuss some of the weapons used during the American Revolution and their use during the Battle of Trenton.
