If you need a new Mac computer or iPad for school this fall, now is a good time to buy.
Sure, there might be a whole 166 shopping days left until Christmas, but you've got less than two months left until students swarm back to classrooms. The promotion is essentially the same as last year's with one notable exception: The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are excluded.
25, students can get a free pair of Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones, Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones, or BeatsX Earphones with the purchase of a MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro.
Regardless of if you go Mac or iPad, both lineups are eligible for the free Beats phones, which include either the Beats Solo3, Powerbeats 3, or BeatsX. Unfortunately, the iPad Pro student discount is only $20, but a MacBook can have $300 shaven off its price, so that becomes a fair deal.
Savings come off at the point of sale and don't require a mail-in rebate like previous years.
Apple isn't offering deep discounts on computers or tablets.
Apple's 2017 Back to School promotion is available through the company's online store for education, Apple retail stores, and Apple authorized campus stores.
This promotion will run through September 25, but students can always save on Macs, iPads, and Apple Music subscriptions with educational pricing.
