The 76ers later provided an update on his status. Furkan Korkmaz continued to find his groove this Summer League as he led the Sixers in points tonight with 15.

The Sixers have stockpiled young talent in recent year, but have failed to break free from the bottom few spots in the Eastern Conference standings. They selected Ben Simmons at No. 1 overall in 2016, Jahlil Okafor in 2015 (No. 3), Joel Embiid in 2014 (No. 3) and Nerlens Noel in 2013 (traded from New Orleans to Philadelphia at No. 6). He won't play his first game for the franchise until the 2017-18 National Basketball Association season finally gets rolling. A high ankle sprain usually takes between four and six weeks to heal, which wouldn't effect his availability to play, full strength, when the regular season begins this fall.

Are the Philadelphia 76ers cursed?

Markelle Fultz's ankle sprain may not be as serious as initially feared, but according to reports, it will still be enough to end his NBA Summer League season.

Fultz appeared to roll his ankle in the second half and was helped to the locker room by two teammates.

This win gets the Philadelphia 76ers back to 2-2 in the Summer League with another game verse the Spurs on Sunday the 9th.

The roster for the Philadelphia 76ers looks really good for the 2017-18 National Basketball Association season.

On Saturday evening, the Sixers agreed to a rookie-contract with their number one overall pick, Markelle Fultz. There is definitely a reason that the 76ers season ticket office has been having a tough time keeping up with demand.
