Russian foreign minister calls seizure of United States compounds 'daylight robbery'

MOSCOW| Washington needs to make "unconditionally" in Moscow two properties diplomatic in the United States, confiscated in December in the wake of accusations of interference in Russian in the american presidential election, demanded on Monday the Kremlin. We think that the diplomatic property must be returned without any conditions and talks, ' Peskov said Monday, CNN reported.

President Donald Trump has said that removal of the sanctions, including the return of the properties, will not occur until issues regarding Russian Federation and its relationships in Ukraine and Syria are resolved.

As top diplomats meet in Washington to discuss the charged issue, Moscow is demanding the return of the compounds, which USA intelligence says were used for spying, 'without preconditions'.

The Kremlin announced Monday that any conditions attached to the return of two seized Russian compounds in the United States - part of an ongoing diplomatic feud - were unacceptable.

Mr Obama said he was ordering the ban due to USA intelligence reports of Russian hacking and an alleged influence campaign to sway the USA presidential election in Mr Trump's favour. "We believe that it must be returned without any conditions, without any negotiations", Peskov told reporters.

This litigation had to be at the centre of a meeting on Monday between the number three on the u.s. department of State Thomas Shannon, and the vice-minister of foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Sergey Riabkov. Contacts are happening between the foreign policy departments [of Russian Federation and the United States].

President Vladimir Putin raised the issue with Donald Trump when they met for the first time at the G20 summit in Hamburg this month.

USA intelligence services believe Russian Federation ordered cyber attacks on the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Hillary Clinton's campaign and other political organizations, in an attempt to influence the election in favor of the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Friday that it was prepared to toss out American officials from the country and close down a number of USA properties in retaliation if two of its recreational compounds in the United States were not reopened.

"We hope yet that our american colleagues will demonstrate wisdom and political will", he added.

Russia is hoping that Shannon will have "detailed suggestions on how to resolve the situation" with the Russian property in the US, Zakharova said.
