The newly launched Samsung Galaxy On Max has the same design and 5.7-inch display as the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max that launched last month.

As per Samsung, the smartphone's main highlight is its Flagship camera. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a Mediatek MT6757 Helio P20 chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, a Mali-T880MP2 graphics card and 4GB of RAM.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor and a 3,000 mAh battery. Samsung Pay Mini is a lighter version of the company's Pay mobile payments service platform which was launched earlier.

In terms of photography, the Galaxy S8+ houses a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology, optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture.

With those features, Samsung has unveiled a war on Vivo and Oppo who focuses more on phone's camera, especially front camera for selfies and video calling. "Galaxy On Max will redefine the way people click and share pictures", said Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India. Samsung is also touting the Social Camera Mode on the Samsung Galaxy On Max - the feature provides instant sharing options to users. Samsung has to pay a huge money for that and the graph of its selling lower down due to this poor battery functionality of the device. Considering the price point, the specs sheet looks good especially the camera. So far there have been 4 models released but Samsung is adding a new model called the Galaxy On Max.

The smartphone, however, does not fully support all features of the Bixby, including the voice recognition system. The price is also about 2 thirds of the original price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. Most of the smartphone users in India prefer mid-range devices over flagship smartphones. From the connectivity front, we have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi tether, 3.5 mm headphone jack and a traditional micro USB port.
