Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar who was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday has suffered a health setback. "We all should pray he recovers soon", she said.
The 94-year-old had been suffering from age-related ailments for the past few years.
Earlier this year, Dilip Kumar was brought to Leelavati Hospital due to medical emergency.
Doctors said Kumars kidneys were not functioning properly.
Doctors from the hospital released a statement on Thursday saying that, "He is completely stable and the only major issue was dehydration".
According to Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu's manager, Dilip Kumar is now stable and doing well in the hospital. But the latest update which we received Friday morning on the actor's health has put rumours about the actor's health to rest. "God willing. The doctors are treating him", Banu told PTI. Though initially he was admitted into the ward, Dilip Kumar has been shifted later to ICU after he has been battling with renal failure. Ravishankar, CEO of Lilavati Hospital said, "He was admitted with dehydration". His last film was Qila in 1998.
The legendary actor has been a part of many cult films and is also a recipient of the Padma Bhushan and the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards in 1991 and 1994 respectively. Some of his popular movies include "Devdas", "Mughal-E-Azam" and "Karma".
