Flash flooding in Delaware Valley, possible tornado in Maryland

The damage came as severe storms passed through the area about 1:40 p.m.

WBOC has received no reports of any injuries.

A likely tornado caused damages and flipped vehicles in Salisbury, Maryland.

Officials say that no one was hurt at Salisbury University from Monday's possible tornado; however, significant damage was reported. At the beginning of his video (below), Scheitlin Jr. captured the storm's funnel and also a transformer exploding as it passes. The tornado overturned three cars, downed trees and damaged buildings.

In the parking lot of The Pavilion at 1400 South off of South Salisbury Boulevard, high winds flipped a auto onto two others.

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Salisbury Monday.

Salisbury police confirmed that there several cars were overturned in different areas of the city on Monday.

"By all accounts, it does look like a tornado", Mike Rusnak of the National Weather Service office in Wakefield, Va., told DelmarvaNow on Tuesday. Experts are working to determine if a tornado touched down there.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect - dumping rain as winds gusted up to 60 miles per hour.
