Sunday's "Game Of Thrones" Episode Leaked Online

The upcoming episode of Game Of Thrones was shared online through a Google Drive link and is reportedly authentic.

"Yes, we hacked HBO and 1.5 TB of sensitive data and films is in our hands!" The latest episode of Game of Thrones, "The Spoils of War", has leaked online ahead of its airing on HBO this Sunday.

The episode leaked from Star India, one of HBO's global network partners, which receives episodes in advance of air. Star India also confirmed the leak and said it is investigating who was responsible.

HBO acknowledged the cyber-attack but the company did not confirm whether the alleged leaked scripts for the said "Game of Thrones" episode was fake or not.

But there's no need to think that you're getting cheated out of Game of Thrones action, because the next episode of the season will be back up to 59 minutes.

Game Of Thrones is HBO's one of the most popular shows and in fact is the channel's crown jewel which is why it is quite damaging for the company both financially and for the company's public image.

Early this week, HBO released a statement concerning a recent cyber-security hack.

A coordinated cyberattack on July 27 saw hackers walk away with one-and-a-half terabytes of HBO data, a publication reported, which included video footage, internal documents and email correspondence.

Following news that thousands of files have been stolen from HBO, the fourth episode of Game of Thrones season 7 has leaked online in middling quality. In the aftermath of that event, chief Amy Pascal was forced to step down amid scandal brought on by leaked emails. Some of these episodes have already been broadcast, but some are brand new (Barry doesn't officially air until 2018, for example).

"Information security is a prime concern at HBO, and we assume our role and responsibility seriously to save guide information that is assigned to us".
