The gesture from Swift is just one of several rounds of applause Cardi has received from her fellow industrymates. Posting a Boomerang video of her smiling next to a huge bouquet of flowers on Instagram, Cardi B wrote, "Sooo attractive and lovely.Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers".

Last night Cari B posted an old photo of Azealia Banks dancing and rapping to "Bodak Yellow" while hinting that its haters like her who help get the song to number one.

Cardi B caught Azealia Banks yellow handed.

'One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1!

And Cardi replied her on Twitter, saying, "Thank you!"

Cardi B - born Belcalis Almanzar - is of Trinidadian and Dominican descent.

"What a day! I feel like its my graduation, birthday, and prom at the same time!" "Charlemagne and black men in hip hop should have gotten me, remy AND nicki a number one before they gave cardi or iggy [Azalea] one". "Ya made it happen for me!"

That tweet was deleted, but captured by entertainment news site, That Grape Juice. The Bronx-born rapper celebrated the big news with a press conference at Atlantic Records on Monday about her climb to the top spot.

She goes on, offering a sarcastic congratulations to the rising rap star.

However, much after Banks had stopped ranting via Twitter threads, Cardi posted a video on Instagram, of Azaelia singing and jamming to the song Bodak Yellow at a club.

But while Nicki Minaj herself has even reached out to Cardi B to congratulate her on the historic moment, not everyone is necessarily pleased about it.
