The joint declaration, issued by Brazil-Russia- India-China-South Africa, named Pakistan based terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Haqqani network and Jaish-e-Mohammad, in a statement which labeled the attacks as deplorable.

Xiamen (China): During the ongoing BRICS summit Chinese president Xi Jinping has assured everyone, "This is high time, he will put pressure on China government to direct Pakistan government to take some definitive action against Masood Azhar". China had opposed India's efforts to include Pakistan-based terror groups in the declaration issued after the last BRICS Summit in Goa.

He said the relations between China and Pakistan are exemplary and are based on history, mutual trust, equality, harmony, non-interference and common agenda of socioeconomic development.

On the other hand, another leading newspaper The Dawn says in its editorial published on Wednesday said, "The BRICS declaration suggests an global trend that Pakistan can not afford to ignore".

Both Moscow and Beijing have criticised the USA position on Pakistan and have insisted that Pakistan's importance for peace in Afghanistan and its sacrifices in the fight against terrorism need to be recognised.

Wang said that terrorism was an global problem and countries should not indulge in any sort of blame game with each other but should rather cooperate together to eradicate the menace.

It is planned that before the end of this year, there will be the first China, Pakistan, Afghanistan foreign ministers meeting in China, Wang said without directly referring to Trump's more pro-active engagement in Afghanistan wherein the USA president also spoke of India's active role in rebuilding the war-ravaged country.

"China should not be tested [every time], particularly in the changed scenario", said the minister while reffering to China's silence on the matter 2016 BRICS conference held in India.

The remarks by Defense Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan came days after U.S. President Donald Trump singled out Pakistan for harboring terrorist organizations, including the Taliban and Haqqani network, which destabilize Afghanistan and plot attacks on American troops there.

The Xiamen declaration condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, saying there can be no justification whatsoever for any act of terrorism. It is one reason why China is consistently blocking any United Nations resolution against JeM chief Azhar Masood. China has invested about $46 billion worth of infrastructure development projects in Pakistan as a part of its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

On such matters as counter-terrorism, no other country understands Pakistan's needs better than China.

He also slammed Pakistan for its support to terror groups and warned Islamabad of consequences if it continues to do so.
