Huawei is also confident that their new mobile chipset gives them a competitive advantage over both Samsung and Apple. What about you? What will make you part with your hard earned on the Mate 10 (Pro or standard)? It is worth noting that this is the regular Huawei Mate 10 smartphone and not the Mate 10 Pro - which might be a little different when it comes to the form factor.

Some fresh renders purporting to be of the upcoming Huawei Mate 10 have appeared online, courtesy of Indian tech site Compareraja and usually reliable leaker OnLeaks. The edges are also well rounded and this time around, there isn't going to be a rear fingerprint sensor but a front fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The 5.9-inch screen will be the same size as the Mate 9, although the overall device is a hair narrower, indicating slimmer bezels.

What do you think of Huawei's great achievement in the smartphone market? "While Huawei has trimmed its portfolio, it likely needs to further streamline its product range like Oppo and Xiaomi have done - putting more muscle behind fewer products".

On the back we see vertically placed dual cameras along with a dual tone flash. The Mate 10 is also expected to arrive with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Apple is set to reveal the iPhone 8 on September 12, U.S. time, which tells observers: Huawei's time at second spot may be done sooner rather than later. The edge to edge design of the Huawei Mate 10 was teased by the CEO Richard Yu in the past. This achievement by Huawei is well in line with the company's goal to be the world's largest smartphone maker in about half a decade's time. Although that may be the case for now, Huawei's success over Apple is believed to be short-lived, according to Android Central.

Unlike the United States technology giant's traditional practise of releasing its new flagship smartphone handsets once a year, in September, Huawei releases upgrades of its main lines throughout the year, including its P series, Mate series, and the budget Nova smartphones.
