Defeat at the Vitality Stadium would turn up the heat on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte but Eddie Howe reckons it is insane the Italian is under pressure after winning the title last season.

Conte said in a press conference: "Undoubtedly there is a lot of bulls**t".

"They try to create problems for me and the players".

"He has brought a lot of passion and drive to the side-line and you can see the demands that he has set on his team, that's been fascinating to watch".

"This is lack of respect".

"I've answered this very well in the past about different issues".

"I can accept that they write the club is ready to sack me, and accept stories with the players, but to use another person in this way is not correct".

There have also been newspaper stories claiming Carlo Ancelotti could be on his way back to the club as a replacement for his fellow Italian.

"If someone is happy writing this then I can't do anything". "I'm ready. But don't put another person [in it], I hate this kind of situation".

He explained: "I'm in touch with Carlo as he's my friend".

Howe has spoken highly of counterpart Antonio Conte, who he pits his wits against when the two sides meet in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Danny Drinkwater says the wait for his Chelsea debut was "killing" him after finally making his first appearance for the club in Wednesday's 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Everton.

Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Bournemouth after N'Golo Kante returned to training on Thursday.

That result left them in fourth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind Manchester City in the race for the title this season. From my experience, for me as a player and coach in great teams, this is work for me.
