If you've never had the chance to enjoy a Doom campaign, this November is looking like a great time to do it, and on a new console at that.
Nintendo of America has announced the official release date for Doom on Nintendo Switch, and it's coming sooner than we thought.
As many may know, 2016's Doom is heading to the Nintendo Switch. "And in bringing it to the Switch, we worked with a developer named Panic Button that has a lot of experience with Nintendo hardware".
"They really tailored the experience, the tech, for [the Switch], without watering anything down", Stratton said.
Developing for the Switch, which has handheld functionality at the forefront, does seem to have led to some limitations. "We wouldn't put it in people's hands if we weren't proud of it and we didn't think it was the best possible representation of Doom".
DOOM is coming to the Nintendo Switch - and that's a good thing.
Those who have played last year's Doom on PS4, Xbox One, or PC might be concerned about the game's enormous file size. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat whether youre obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes.
Thankfully, publisher Bethesda shared more information on Doom's Switch version a few weeks ago, filling us in on visual quality and other performance details.
