Paris: Heavyweights Spain qualified for the 2018 World Cup with a routine 3-0 home win over Albania, but Serbia must wait to seal to their place following a 2-3 loss in Austria.

"We have a great relationship, despite our different viewpoints and personalities". We ask for there to be a good atmosphere and for the fans to enjoy the game.

For Spain, Rodrigo scored the first goal in the 16 minute, followed by Isco in 23 minutes.

Spain are three points clear of Italy at the top of Group G with two games remaining and can qualify for the World Cup on Friday if they better the Azzurri's result against Macedonia.

Albania were not expected to threaten Spain much, and early on, the match was one-way traffic. "We are delighted and proud of what we have achieved because it's very important for Spain".

However, Pique will be missing from that game as he's suspended after picking up a yellow card in the second half of the match against Albania when he pulled back Armand Sadiku.

Lopetegui was adamant the suspensions were not planned. "I do not believe in that", Lopetegui said.

Albania boss Christian Panucci, who saw his side hit the post during a second-half purple patch, believes Spain have the capacity to go all the way in Russian Federation next year.

6/10/2017 at 21:45, in Alicante at the stadium "Jose Rico Perez" in the 9th round of the group qualifying round for the World Cup, the Spanish team will host the Albanian national team. You've seen their quality. Together with Brazil and Germany, Spain will be there or thereabouts.

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic had leveled on 83 minutes before Schaub's victor, but Serbia can still advance by defeating Georgia in their final qualifier in Belgrade Monday. Spain's quality in the first half-hour made them far superior to us. "We created four or five opportunities, which against Spain isn't easy".
