One of the most exciting success stories of 2016, it turns out that the appeal of playing Stardew Valley on the go is very strong among Switch owners. Well, if you dream of electric sheep and all these other digital farm life scenarios, you'll be pleased to know that Stardew Valley is bringing country life charm to Nintendo Switch on October 5.
Back when Nintendo first revealed the line up of indie games destined for the Switch, the announcement of Stardew Valley came as something of a surprise to pretty much everyone.
Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe), the game's developer, confirmed the October 5 date through a tweet linking to a detailed brief on Stardew Valley's website.
The Switch version will be priced at $14.99 United States dollars. This will not only be the first time Stardew Valley appears on a Nintendo platform, but also the first time Stardew will be on a portable system. "I grew up on Nintendo, after all", Barone wrote about the popular farming simulator coming to the Switch. It will be arriving on the Nintendo eShop beginning on October 5 according to the CEO and Designer at Chucklefish. Some of these features include up to three player-controlled farmhands joining the farm and possibly, player-to-player marriages.
Stardew Valley is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
