John Wick creator working on Hitman TV show

Known only as Agent 47, his latest target is a corporation that plans to unlock the secret of his past to create an army of killers even more powerful than him. The film series was then rebooted with a 2015 film called "Agent 47: Hitman" that was somehow even worse.

The new television series is still in the early stages of development and does not now have an expected release date.

Deadline reports that a new Hitman series is in the works by both Fox 21 and Hulu. The general premise of the "Hitman" games revolves around a high-skilled cloned assassin-for-hire simply named Agent 47, who carries out missions in association with the mysterious Agency. It previously confirmed that a new Hitman is coming.

Written by Derek Kolstad, John Wick: Chapter 3 is set for a May 13, 2019 release. The first movie starred Timothy Olyphant (Justified) in the leading role and Rupert Friend (Homeland) in the second movie.

The entire project will be overseen by Bert Salke, Jane Francis, and Gloria Fan, all of whom are head honchos over at Fox 21 Television Studios.

The popular video game series has been adapted for the silver screen twice before in the past.

Some people point out one of the reasons why the two movies failed was because of an excessive amount of violence, which conflicts with the main premise of the game, which is stealth. Over the years, the Hitman franchise has sold well over 25 million copies; since the original game debuted in 2000.
