At release, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 players will be able to download a free content update which adds Japanese audio and English subtitles. During a Xenoblade-centric Nintendo Direct presentation this morning, Nintendo offered loads of details it has been hanging onto since the game's announcement.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an upcoming Switch game coming our way next month, and now we have a brand new trailer for Monolith's RPG, one that's all about the characters in the game, some of which are friends and some are foes.
The latest Nintendo Direct has put the spotlight on the last big Switch game of the year, which is getting a season pass and dual audio DLC. This sequel is flawless for playing at home or while traveling during the busy holiday season.. The protagonist is what the game calls a "Driver" named Rex. When players fight alongside a Blade, they might trigger effects that protect the Driver, strengthen attacks, and other helpful actions.
To help familiarize Rex with fans, Nintendo has announced a cross-promotion with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where players can obtain a Rex costume starting on November 9.
The big news is that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be getting a full Expansion Pass (a first for the series). Note that DLC packs can not be purchased individually.
Earlier today Nintendo had a special Direct video featuring Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
A Special Edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 includes a 220-page hardbound art book, metal game case, and soundtrack CD for $99.99. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is available to pre-order today, and it'll be launching on December 1.
