Rishi Kapoor family's lineal haveli is located in the Kissa Khwani Bazaar locality in Pakistan.

The veteran actor, who is originally from Peshawar, Pakistan, took to Twitter and expressed his opinion - saying "that he totally agrees with Farooq Abdhulla ji" and that "J&K is ours, and PoK is theirs". J&K's National Conference supremo stated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to Pakistan.

Kapoor added,"I want my children to see their roots". Bas karva Dijiye. Jai Mata Di!

"Farooq Abdullah saab bujurg vyakti hain, kabhi kabhi behki baatein karate hain (Abdullah is a senior leader, but he talks irrationally sometimes)", the minority affairs minister is quoted to as saying in response to a question. He has invoked the Kashmir issue and said, "The part which is with Pakistan belongs to Pakistan & this is India's part". "If the Indian government wants peace it will have to talk to Pakistan and conclude that an autonomy be given to us as well as them", he had said.

"A Pak Minister very rightly said that you forget that the part which is yours was acquired by an Instrument of Accession". You forget the instrument of accession and say that that part is yours. Asked to comment on Centre's special representative, Dineshwar Sharma's statement that his recent five-day long visit was successful and that he would do his best to talk to Kashmiri separatist leadership as well, Abdullah said: "What Dineshwar Sharma said is not for me to comment on".

"He [Sharma] has held talks but talks alone are not the solution". We are landlocked. On one side we have China, Pakistan and India on the other side. Farooq also said that Jammu and Kashmir needed more autonomy.
