United States flags wave in the breeze November 4 during this year's Universal City Veterans Day Parade, sponsored by the Greater Randolph Area Council of Veterans.

The City of Eufaula partnered with Main Street Eufaula Inc.to bring back this tradition a year ago and had a huge turnout for the event, which featured retired, disabled, and current members of the military and national guard. The parade begins at R.L. Anderson Stadium and will travel each on Magnolia to Wisteria Street and south to East Broad Street. The Veterans Day Ceremony immediately follows the parade at 7th Street and Forrest Avenue. The tribute will include recognition of 99 Victorville Veterans.

The veteran of today is respected and revered by millions of Americans nationwide and in the continuing tradition to honor them and to maintain the legacy of their efforts for the "altar of freedom", we look forward to seeing each and every one of you at the ceremony. Information about their military service will appear in the event program, and their photos will be featured in a commemorative slideshow. "We realize that through their selfless service, duty and personal courage our Veterans make Victorville a better place". The cross streets will be closed promptly at 10:45 a.m.to prepare for parade. The first 100 runners registered will receive a free commemorative race bib.

The Veterans Day Ceremony pays tribute to those in the military during wartime or peacetime.
