After completely falling out of the rotation, former No. 3 overall draft pick Jahlil Okafor wanted out of Philadelphia.

Philly will send Okafor, Nik Stauskas, and a second-round pick to Brooklyn for Trevor Booker, sources say.

This marks the end of the 76ers' attempts to enter contract buyout discussions with the big man. Okafor has played in just two games this season.

Booker and the Sixers will face Okafor, Stauskas, and the Nets on January 31.

Brooklyn has been trying to stockpile young talent due to the lack of draft picks they've had over the last few years, acquiring their starting backcourt of D'Angelo Russell and Allen Crabbe via trades this offseason. I have already detailed on this website why he is not a good National Basketball Association player, but here's a question for people who are somehow still PrOkafors: If he is so good, why is it that Richaun Holmes, who was drafted in the second round in Okafor's draft, and Dario Saric, who isn't even a center, are ahead of him on the center depth chart?

"I know it's business, but in my eyes, I don't know if it's good business". After he averaged over 13 points a game the last two seasons, the 27-year-old has seen his minutes drop from 25.1 per game last season to 11.4 per game this year and has averaged only 4.9 points per game in 16 contests.

When looking at all of the drama behind the center expressing his frustration by still being on the team without receiving playing time, a fresh start for Okafor was best for both parties.
