All set to direct the third instalment of the major box office hit movie "Hera Pheri", Neeraj Vora suffered a heart attack in 2016 and had been in a coma ever since. The 54-year aged was admitted to the Criti Care hospital in Andheri Mumbai. The actor was at the residence of producer Firoz Nadiadwala but was rushed to hospital when his condition deteriorated.
Vora was born in 1963 in Bhuj in a Gujarati family. But he grew up in Santa Cruz, a suburb of Mumbai. He is the son of Pandit Vinayak Rai Nanalal Vora was a classical musician. After that he decided to make films and took the family home. Past year amidst the filming of "Hera Pheri 3", Neeraj suffered a heart attack.
Neeraj Vora, the man who made everyone laugh on screen and off it too, is no more. She was working on Hera Ferry 3 before she went to coma. The late actor was taken to Santacruz crematorium at 3 pm. Neeraj wrote the first part of Rohit Shetty's GOLMAAL and today we know how famous all the characters are. He worked with nearly all the leading superstar of India like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor etc. and aced all the roles he played.

Along with brother Uttank, under the name of Neeraj-Uttank, he also composed the film's music, which became quite popular, especially the song "Tu Hai Haseena". Soon after, he was seen in Virasat, Mann, Badshah, Josh, Aawara Paagal Deewana. The work of Vora has always been appreciated by critics.
Dholakia described him as "one of India's finest humorist screenwriter", while actor Parvin Dabas said he was "one of the most brilliant comic minds in Hindi cinema".
