Before the Auburn game, the Knights beat their only other Power Five opponent, Maryland, 38-10.

A group of fans is trying to convince Alabama to schedule a home-and-home with UCF, and they're doing so with a billboard in Tuscaloosa.

UCF is famously claiming a national championship for its undefeated 2017 season and Peach Bowl win over Auburn. The Knights were the only undefeated FBS team this season.

The party, which will include a pep rally for the self-proclaimed national champions, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and is expected to last three hours.

"Congratulations Alabama!" the sign reads. If the Tide had beaten the Knights this year instead of trouncing Mercer 56-0, they wouldn't have been sweating the College Football Playoff committee's decision. Then, underneath that, it says, "How about a home & home series with UCF?"

"I'm fine with it", Saban explained.

The Knights even had a parade at Disney World to celebrate their national championship.

UCF fans bought a billboard advertisement in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, congratulating the University of Alabama for winning the national championship on Monday and asking if the Crimson Tide would like to play their team.

The Crimson Tide received 57 of 61 first-place votes from the media panel after its 26-23 overtime win on Monday night. Murphy said she is glad that they can put their political differences aside and have playful jest.
