Xiaomi rolls out Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro in India

Now according to this tipster, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will feature a 5.7-inch or a larger 5.9-inch Full-HD plus display (1080 x 2160pixels).

Xiaomi has launched its first television on Indian market named-Mi TV 4 which allows 4K, HDR10, and runs Xiaomi's PatchWall interface.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 pro in India on Wednesday unveiling the company's first MI TV alongside. The 20MP selfie camera also relies on AI power to take bokeh portraits, just like the Google Pixel 2 - this gives the Redmi Note 5 Pro a huge advantage over its rivals. The "standard" Redmi Note 5 is essentially the Redmi Note 4 repackaged in a new bottle. Both the phones come with a tall 18:9 display while the Redmi Note Pro includes a dual-camera setup on the back as well. Xiaomi is making India launch the debut of the smartphone globally as it hasn't launched the Redmi Note 5 in any other region, not even in China.

The devices will also be Xiaomi's first new products for the year in India. The TV is a LED based smart televison and is called Mi TV. The Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 will go on sale in India at a price of Rs. 39,999 on the 22nd of February. Note 5 comes with FullView display and is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, however, will support face identity.

The Redmi Note 5 will be sold for Rs 9,999 ($156) and Rs 11,999 ($187) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB model or the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. This sets the performance bar high with the very capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Chipset and the 6GB RAM option. The 55-inch version is priced at Yuan 3,999, which is almost Rs 40,000 plus. It comes in two variants - 3GB/32 GB and 4GB/64 GB - in terms of storage space. The smartphone sports 12MP and 5MP sensors at the rear end with LED flash. It runs on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9. 80 percent of the content available on the platforms will be free for Mi TV 4 users. The rear side doesn't have any thick insane power boxes identical to that of other competing devices. For wireless connectivity, it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.0. They will be available on Mi.com, Flipkart, and across all Mi Home stores starting February 22.
