Luke Cage season 2 teaser sets June release date

It's worth noting that Daredevil, Iron Fist and The Punisher all have new seasons on the way, but we think it's the Man without Fear whose show will release next. Prior to Jessica Jones Season 2, Netflix had made a habit out of keeping the release date of its Marvel series secret until about a month before their release. He'll be up against a "formidable new foe" that will push him into contemplating going over the fine line between what makes someone a champion and a villain.

One of the more popular offerings from the Marvel Television initiative at Netflix was the MARVEL'S LUKE CAGE series starring Mike Colter as the popular African-American superhero. The question is whether or not Netflix can maintain those strengths while expanding beyond familiar territory.

Marvel TV also released four first look images.

'You can't burn me, you can't blast me, and you definitely can't break me, ' he says in the video. The cast also features Simone Missick (Ray Donovan), Alfre Woodard (The Lion King), Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy), Mustafa Shakir (The Deuce), Gabrielle Dennis (Rosewood) and Rosario Dawson (Marvel's Daredevil). Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker told Mashable he hopes the second season of Luke Cage will be to viewers what Low End Theory, A Tribe Called Quest's second record, was to hip hop heads. The first episode is directed by Lucy Liu.
