The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Announced for SteamVR

Bethesda brings PSVR chart-topper Skyrim VR to SteamVR PCs on April 3

Skyrim VR releases on Steam next month for $60

In a move that shouldn't surprise anyone, Bethesda Softworks today announced Skyrim will soon be playable on an HTC Vive headset.

If you were jealous of all that action PlayStation VR players had the chance to get while playing Skyrim all this time then you can rejoice. "Now, Skyrim VR comes to a new platform - PC using SteamVR - on April 3", the dev wrote on a Bethesda.net blog post.

It's not cheap though coming in at an expensive £39.99 according to the Steam page.

If you were wondering if you'll be able to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR without having to buy it, if you own the classic Skyrim Edition then the answer is now.

Initially released in November 2017 for the PlayStation VR, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR brings the world of Skyrim to live from the comfort of your virtual reality headset. Skyrim has been one of my favorite gaming experiences ever, and adding the VR touch to this classic is exciting.

Skyrim VR took PlayStation VR gamers by storm when it was released late previous year, dominating PSVR sales charts and helping Sony to boost its headset sales.
