Mack, a longtime NXIVM follower, is accused of being Raniere's co-conspirator, acting as headmistress of the slaves, presiding over their branding ceremonies and collecting the collateral, which she then forwarded to Raniere.
Mack, 35, was denied bail and will be back in court Tuesday afternoon for another shot at making bail.
Her indictment came weeks after the arrest of NXIVM leader Keith Raniere who was charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and conspiracy to commit forced labor, according to BuzzFeed.
But in front of federal judge Viktor V. Pohorelsky Tuesday, Mack secured her release, by posting her parent's home where she grew up as a child as collateral, as well as a property she herself owns in upstate NY, her lawyers said.
Allison faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in jail if convicted on all of her charges made against him. The judge told her to stay off social media and not speak to anyone connected to NXIVM.
"Yes, your Honor", Mack responded.
Mack was released with an ankle bracelet so she can be monitored. On her way out, she refused to speak to reporters.
Mack played Chloe, Clark Kent's best friend, on Smallville, which aired on the WB/CW for 10 seasons, ending in 2011. Still, it seemed like secret polygamy to me, and I remember feeling sorry for them, too. I was 28 and I felt not quite sure where I was going or who I was.
Keith Raniere, co-founder of a secretive self-help group founded in 1998 in the Albany, N.Y., area, is shown in the 1990s. I think everyone needs a mentor.
Mack again tried to reach out the following month, this time explaining that she too was a humanitarian like Watson. I don't think any of us really know the answers without a little bit of wisdom.
Mack has filed an application for an Order of Excludable Delay requesting that her trial begin after May 3, stating that her legal team were in plea negotiations.
