Worley was acquired in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith in a trade with Carolina last month.
Garafalo added that the incident reportedly occurred at Broad and Pattison, near the Eagles' team facility. Also, a gun being found at the scene doesn't help things either. This arrest, according to Les Bowen of The Philadelphia Inquirer, could lead to the player's release.
Police say that Worley was found asleep in his vehicle on the highway.
In 2014, while still a student at West Virginia, he pleaded no contest to an assault charge following an incident at a nightclub.
Worley is far from a lock to stick on the roster if the Eagles determine his actions Sunday morning were serious, as they are loaded with outside cornerbacks. Worley started 14 games last season for the Panthers and totaled 63 tackles and a career-high 2 interceptions. Worley said then that he was defending his girlfriend.
