Naturally, Twitter had all kinds of things to say about a new, surprise J. Cole joint.
KOD marks the follow-up to 2016's 4 Your Eyez Only, which debuted at No. 1 with 492,000 album equivalent units. The album will be released on Cole's Dreamville label via Roc Nation and Interscope. Rapper, J. Cole took to his official twitter account to announce that his fifth full length studio album was just a couple of days away. But then all in one day, his fans got a mystery concert/event in New York City ...
It turns out the concert wasn't your conventional J. Cole show. Cole also apparently mentions that he was happy to see young black men making money, but that they'll go broke in five years if they keep doing lean and Xanax. Titled K.O.D., according to RapRadar's B. Dot Miller, who was in attendance at last night's free show, K.O.D. stands for three different acronyms: "Kidz On Drugz", "King Overdose," and "Kill Our Demonz".
He also said that the album (about 12 songs) was completed in two weeks. Cole has announced a surprise, last-minute event in London tonight (April 17) to promote his new upcoming new album - check out details below.
