LG has also confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will come loaded with certain AI features. The LG G7 ThinQ will ship in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue (Matte), Platinum Gray, and Raspberry Rose color variants. The availability of colors is expected to vary by region and there's no word on how much you have to spend for this smartphone. After all, the phone will come with the ThinQ tag, which suggests some AI features like the ones introduced on the LG V30 ThinQ in February.
The leaked image of the LG G7 ThinQ once again shows off the iPhone X-inspired notch above the display. Rumors have it that the company also announce the LG Q7 mid-range phone alongside the LG G7 ThinQ. This design has now been further corroborated by a new report which has leaked official press renders of the upcoming phones. So, does this mean that LG G7 ThinQ is the last G-series phone? ThinQ branding is LG's initiative to fulfil its goal of thinking from customer's viewpoint in order to provide them with features that are most frequently used by them along with AI technology. The device will also include improved artificial intelligence (AI) features.
Separately, LG has announced that it will unveil the LG G7 ThinQ at a launch event slated for May 2 in NY, followed by a South Korean launch in Seoul on May 3. The dual camera setup has LED flash and laser auto-focus module to its left, and below it is the fingerprint scanner. This would be similar to what Samsung is doing with its own line of smartphones that have a dedicated button for its Bixby assistant.
The G7 ThinQ is powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset and comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. That distinction belongs to the LG V30S ThinQ announced at MWC just two months ago. It is likely to arrive with dual 16-megapixel camera lens with f/1.6 aperture.
The South Korean company is expected to confirm on the May 2 launch date for LG G7 ThinQ soon.
