President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, received the first copy of the book "Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar: Vyakti Nahin Sankalp" from the Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who formally released it at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (April 14, 2018), to mark Dr B.R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary.

According to an official release, the memorial of Babasaheb Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution of India has been given the shape of a book. The best way to get a grasp of Dr Ambedkar's personality is by going through his quotes that cover a broad spectrum of social, economic and other aspects of life.

He said, "Despite the personal challenges he faced, Dr Ambedkar was remarkably free of rancour and resentment".

"Let us draw inspiration from this great figure of history and this great Indian".

Dr. Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 in the military cantonment of Mhow which is now in Madhya Pradesh.

In Aurangabad, the police band troops led by SRP inspector Rajendra Katul saluted the statue of Dr Ambedkar at Bhadkal gate and paid rich tribute this morning. He said, his government is following the path shown by Baba Saheb and moving ahead with the mantra of Sabka Saath - Sabka Vikas to ensure that the benefits of development reach all section of society.

He said on the basis of a police Intelligence report about the festival causing possible tension in the area, the committee was asked, in the eleventh hour, to hold the event at an alternative venue.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted people on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. He said the country remains indebted to Babasaheb for his efforts towards the making of our Constitution.
