Philly singers make American Idol Top 10

The voter results will air on April 23's live show with the top 10 reveal.

Last night was the last Monday episode of American Idol 2018 until the finale on May 21. Galloway Township's Mara Justine sang "Love On the Brain" by Rihanna in hopes of making the Top 10. Donaldson sang "Jealous" by Nick Jonas along with a leather jacket and handsome voice to fight for a spot in the Top 10. The judges asked him to perform again and they saved him nearly instantaneously.

Garrett Jacobs sang "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival and, though Perry said it was the best he'd ever sounded, he wasn't chosen.

The judges gave unanimous standing ovations to Dennis Lorenzo for his heartfelt version of "This Woman's Work", after hearing that he fell short of the vote. But after only a one-year hiatus, the former reality juggernaut is again under contract, this time with a new network in ABC - where it should have been all along - and a new trio of judges in Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. The judges picked him as one of the contestants moving on. In the end, he failed to make it through.

Ryan Seacrest told a very nervous Marcio Donaldson that he had not made it through to the Top 10 after America's vote.

Said Perry: "I don't know everything". Her best performances so far have been covers of "Never Enough" from The Greatest Showman, and a duet of Lea Michele's "Run To You", with Michele herself. Meaning, you can submit 10 votes via text, the app, and website for a total of 30 votes.

Here's how it went down: All Top 14 singers performed Sunday night, live for America's vote for the first time this season.

"Enough was enough and you put your foot down when it's real". He went old-school country with Chris Young's "Gettin' You Home".
