Rabri, Tejashwi 'return' state security, slam CM Nitish Kumar

While talking to reporters, Rabri said that security was revoked from her residence at 9pm and alleged that it was government's conspiracy to get her and her family killed. The move followed an order issued from the state home department, which is under Chief Minister and JD (U) national president Nitish Kumar.

This action prompted her to write a letter to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in which she said that the home ministry will be responsible if anything happens to me or my family.

The allegation comes a day after the Bihar government withdrew the 32 Military Police jawans who were stationed at the residence of the former chief minister in Patna. "If the government asks us to vacate our house, we're ready to do it". "It is for the first time that there is virtually no security jawan at the residence of Lalu-Rabri".

After Rabri and her two sons Tejashwi and Tej Pratap Yadav gave up their security on Wednesday in protest, Lalu Yadav's wife told India Today that when she has not been provided any security, how can it be reduced?

After the tender was awarded to Sujata Hotel, the ownership of Delight Marketing was changed in favour of Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav between 2010 and 2014. Yadav has called these moves a political vendetta.

In July previous year, Nitish Kumar pulled out of the grand alliance over corruption allegations against Tejashwi Yadav and his family members, joining hands with the BJP to form the government. "The agency can go to the residence of any accused person without informing or through a muhurat".

She said, since 2005 commandos of 2nd battalion of BMP were engaged in her security and posted at 7 different places in the house.

In a letter she later shot off to the CM, she wrote: "If any untoward incident takes place with me or with my family members, the responsibility will exclusively lie with the state home department and the minister in charge..."
