Nintendo has revealed the details of the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service.

There is also a family plan that allows multiple accounts on your Switch to access the online services.

The service will cost $3.99 for one month, $7.99 for three months, and $19.99 for one year. These NES games will support voice chat via Nintendo's smartphone app. NES-Nintendo Switch Online is a collection of classic NES titles and will be included in any of the subscriptions shown above. This week Nintendo has finally revealed its pricing and features for playing games online.

There are 10 NES games for the Switch announced so far including Balloon Fight, Dr. Mario and Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo also detailed a few of the perks of being a member of this service, with the headliner being the Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online. Additionally, 20 different NES classics will be available for play with additional online features, even for single-player titles like The Legend of Zelda.

However, you can share the Nintendo Switch Online features across all the Nintendo Accounts in a family group by purchasing a family membership. Nintendo has gone official with most of the details of the service, and it is indeed much cheaper than similar offerings from Microsoft and Sony.

Online play has been a huge part of gaming for years now, and although Nintendo does so many things superlatively, they've never thrived when it comes to gaming online. The Nintendo Switch Online app is for Nintendo Account holders 13 years old or older.

The more important features, though, are the cloud saves, which means we'll be able to save our games online for access anywhere. True to Nintendo, though, they are planning to use the games that brought them so much success, in the first place, as a selling point.

More details (including particulars on cloud services) are scheduled to follow sometime in the future.

There's even a 12 month family membership available for £31.49.

Lastly, is online play.

This service will become available in September 2018. Friends can also watch friends online play the games, and can allow other friends to take control of the game at any time.
