Hitman 2 Leaked In Build-Up To E3

New Hitman Announcement Teased for This Week

Warner Bros and IO Interactive will announce Hitman 2, logo gets leaked prior to official reveal

Are you a techie who knows how to write? While the game was initially published by Square Enix, a "Definitive Edition" was released early this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, published by Warner Bros.

Beloved industry insider "lashman" linked Hitman 2's logo on the Warner Bros. website ahead of its reveal.

Over on ResetEra, a forum post (from member "Luna") detailed that a logo file for Hitman 2 was discovered in the source code for Warner Bros. Some "Target Incoming" text in the usual Hitman font appears then is quickly replaced with "Access Denied // June 7, 2018".

Our guess is that Warner Bros will simply handle the distribution of the game and IO Interactive will retain the game's rights.

Hitman 2 would be the tenth Hitman game released for the franchise, which was created by IO Interactive and originally published by Eidos and Square Enix. However, now it's clear as day that fans of the 2016 iteration of Hitman will be getting what looks like a full-blown sequel to the game, instead of another "Season" of new content like the previous game employed.
