LeBron James Texted Kevin Durant About Joining Lakers Together

There seems to be more steam over the last few days thinking that James is going to be leaving the state of OH, but one Vegas insider texted Dustin Fox of the Athletic saying that James is coming back to Cleveland.

This week, the National Basketball Association named James Harden as the league's Most Valuable Player for the first time in his career, making him one of two guys to have ever won the MVP after winning the 6th man of the year award during their career.

LeBron has until 11:59 p.m. ET Friday to formally decline or opt in on the past year of his contract with Cleveland.

Is LeBron James set for a move to the Los Angeles Lakers? Vardon reports that there was no contract between James or Durant's camp. However, it doesn't seem like Durant was all that receptive to the idea.

They not only have the cap space to sign him to a max contract but they could also sign another soon-to-be free agent Paul George to a max contract as well.

There's a strong belief that the Los Angeles Lakers need to sign another star player in order to land LeBron James this summer, someone like a Kawhi Leonard or Paul George - or both.

"Kevin Durant ain't coming to L.A. He wants to surpass LeBron James".

According to ESPN, the Cavs are in the dark about ways to improve the roster without clear communication from James.

"I don't know what Kevin Durant's response to him was", Smith added.

The Lakers will be able to officially speak with James on July 1, assuming he does not exercise his player option. I'm the reigning two-time champion.
