The royal family watch the flypast on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping The Colour on June 9, 2018 in London, England to mark the Queen's birthday.

QE2 and her crew busted out their best royal waves for the festivities, which included a Royal Air Force flyover, and a carriage parade of the whole family.

Queen Elizabeth was the first to arrive at Horse Guards Parade for her birthday parade.

The Queen cut a lonely figure as she attended Trooping the Colour alone, without Prince Phillip by her side.

Her cold-shoulder co-ord by Carolina Herrera was fitting for the regal pomp and pageantry of the big day and she accessorised the look with a co-ordinating hat by Philip Treacy.

Trooping the Colour 2018 marks the Cambridge children's first appearance since Harry and Meghan's royal nuptials.

But this is not their first time on duty since marrying - just a few days after their May wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared at Prince Charles' birthday party.

Queen Elizabeth II - without Prince Philip - at the Trooping The Colour.

Meghan made her debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside Harry and the other family members and seemed totally at ease. Prince George and Princess Charlotte couldn't have looked cuter in their smart little outfits - co-ordinating perfectly with mum Kate, who wore a gorgeous pale blue Alexander McQueen dress.

She was without her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, who turns 97 on Sunday.

Back in 2012, the Queen took Kate, Duchess of Cornwall, for such an "away trip", this time to Leicester at the start of her Diamond Jubilee tour marking 60 years on the throne.

Savannah, the daughter of Peter Phillips - the son of Princess Anne and the Queen's oldest grandson, put her hand over George's mouth and then sushed the future king to stop him from talking so much. See PA story ROYAL Wedding.

Together George and Charlotte conspired to steal the show - per usual.
