You'll also be able to see how numerous pellets from a shot hit the target, which will be displayed by marks within the reticle, allowing you to see at a glance how effective your shot was.
Epic Games has also nerfed the "double pump" strategy yet again, as another shotgun will not be able to be fired for "a very short time" after firing another one.
The hunting rifle's aim assist has been lowered to match that of other sniper rifles, and the suppressed SMG now features the same damage drop off profile as other SMGs. The first big new change is the new desert biome with two new locations: Paradise Palms and Lazy Links. We also know the update will add in the two skins featured in the image below, which seem to support the theory that the update will be themed around multiple worlds and time periods colliding.
A brand new vehicle has been added: the All Terrain Kart or ATK. The ATK can also get a temporary speed boost when players realize a successful drift. The center of the 7th, 8th and 9th Storm circles can now shift in random directions instead of just simply shrinking. Epic is also changing the way progressive challenges work - your progress toward completing these now carries over between seasons. As always, do not forget to finish out the match you're in once you've completed a challenge in order to be sure you get credit for it. As with other seasons, season 5 lasts for 10 weeks and includes weekly challenges and rewards. For the Nintendo Switch, Epic games has also included motion controls which can be adjusted in the Settings menu. Finish all of them to earn as many Battle Stars as possible - which will give you maximum value, in terms of loot, for your Battle Pass.
