NFL players who take a knee during the national anthem to protest incidents of police abuse have prompted Broward County's police union to urge officers to return their discounted Miami Dolphins tickets for refunds. "We entered into this partnership with the understanding that the Dolphins organization would require their players to stand for the national anthem". This did not happen at last night's preseason game against Tampa Bay. If members already did so, the association suggested they call the Dolphins for a ticket refund.

The Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association issued a Facebook statement on tickets.

Mr. Trump, who triggered an uproar previous year after condemning players protesting social injustice, lashed out again after two Miami Dolphins players took a knee during a pre-season game on Thursday.

The Miami-Dade police union said many of its member officers declined to provide off-duty security at Dolphins games, last season, because of the protests.

Trump added that players should stand for the anthem or be suspended without pay. President Donald Trump and others have criticized the players, saying their protests are unpatriotic and disrespect the military. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!

What is the Dolphins' anthem policy?

The policy said players would be allowed to stay in the locker room during the anthem if they chose - but if any team personnel did kneel on the field, the team would be fined.

An increasing number of players joined him, but critics perceived the protests as unpatriotic and disrespectful of the American flag and United States military. Earlier this year, the National Football League had announced players would be penalized for kneeing during the anthem but later reversed course.

But, that wasn't the most pointed Tweet at the president from Jordan. Albert Wilson @iThinkIsee12 joined him in protest.
